Minds Growing with Science Gathered in Trabzon!
Held between October 10–12 under the leadership of Trabzon Metropolitan Municipality and in partnership with the Ministry of Industry and Technology of the Republic of Türkiye, the Türkiye Technology Team Foundation (T3 Foundation), and TÜBİTAK, Trabzon Science Festival – STEAMFEST TRABZON took place with great enthusiasm at the Özdemir Bayraktar Science Center.
Over 200,000 visitors from across Türkiye came together for three days filled with the excitement of science and technology.
The festival featured the participation of the T3 Foundation, various public institutions, universities, and T3 Foundation Science Centers from all over the country. The event, supported by institutions showcasing their land vehicles, aviation systems, and technological applications, drew great interest from the public.
Three Days Full of Science and Technology
The opening ceremony was attended by Trabzon Governor Aziz Yıldırım, Trabzon Metropolitan Mayor Ahmet Metin Genç, Chairman of the Turkish Grand National Assembly’s Tourism Commission and AK Party Trabzon Deputy Adil Karaismailoğlu, TÜRKSAT General Manager Ahmet Hamdi Atalay, and regional members of parliament.
During the speeches, emphasis was placed on the importance of raising scientific awareness and on the critical role of youth participation in technology production for the future of Türkiye.

The Türkiye Technology Team Foundation (T3 Foundation)—a driving force behind the future of science and technology—was among the most visited institutions at STEAMFEST Trabzon. Visitors experienced TEKNOFEST through VR headsets, while young participants engaged in hands-on electronics and software applications with DENEYAP Kart projects.
In addition, information was provided about the National Technology Initiative vision and T3 Foundation projects. Activities at the booth, particularly popular among children and young people, helped boost participants’ interest in technology.
STEAMFEST Trabzon both strengthened scientific awareness in the region and offered participants interactive learning environments.
Throughout the festival, visitors enjoyed science talks, experimental workshops, drama activities, science shows, planetarium screenings, technology exhibitions, live statues, science theaters, and simulation zones, making for an unforgettable experience.
